Why is there a gap after the cabinets go in?
Countertops can only be templated once the cabinets are installed and level, then the slab is cut and fabricated off-site. That template-to-install window is typically one to two weeks, and it is normal — not a stall.
Can I use my kitchen during the renovation?
Usually not for most of it. Plan a temporary kitchen — a fridge, microwave, and kettle in another room — for roughly the full on-site period, since the sink and range are out for much of the job.
